Single-side Formwork

Single-sided formwork systems are designed to solve walls where it is not possible to place the formwork panels face to face and it is only possible to place panels on one side of the wall. Since there is no wall-through tie rod, the wall body after casting is completely water-proof. This situation can arise in many scenarios, including the construction of retaining walls, tunnels, renovations where an existing structure impedes access, or the construction of basements and basement floors. It should be reinforced by frames which should support horizontal loads due to pressure from the concrete. The RS50 single-sided formwork system is a lightweight and high-strength solution.
